JABACS
JABACS - Just Another Ball And Chain Submission!
It's a bit wack and hopefully a bit of fun. Enjoy!
Feel free to post your times! I'd be interested to see how people go!
Controls:
W-A-S-D, Space.
It should be fairly intuitive.
Wasn't able to dedicate the whole 48 hours this year, so instead decided to see what I could throw together in a day. Spent a working day, about 7.5 hours worth of time creating this.
In-Depth Controls:
You control two balls connected by a chain: a red ball and a blue ball.
You can only control one ball at a time.
When not directly controlling a ball, it will stick to a surface of the same colour.
The aim is to have one of the balls touch the glowing purple ball at the end.

I quite enjoyed your game. The controls and mechanics of the game were quite intuitive (I only now read the directions and description, after already beating the game twice), and I really like the small detail of the balls having a graphic when they're actually stuck to a surface.
I can see how the glitching chains might frustrate players, and while I was able to get past that issue, you might want to set a hard limit to how far the links of the chains can be separated, alongside tweaking the chain physics a bit (so that, in the example of the spinning platforms at the end, the chain would be nearly parallel with said spinning platform while one ball is attached and the other is swinging around.)
As a side note, I imagine the speedruns of a full game like this would look amazing and ridiculous.
Glad you enjoyed it! That's some great feed back!
I have almost given up at the end because of the glitching chains, but kept trying and finally completed the game. Good job
Game is very fun to play, just at the end the chains glitch a lot. Either way definitely a personal favourite in the jam!
What a legendary 7.5 hour submission!
The joined together thing is an prompt interpretation I think I'll se alot, but the magnetic ends make this so much more interesting. Really inventive while still staying close to the prompt, and well explored. Couldn't get past the fast spinning platforms 'cause the chain started glitching out.
XD Yeah. It definitely started getting wack at the end. I thought it was funny and kept it in anyway! ;)
